Announcing the Brainerd Library Seed Swap 2018

Submitted by, Tom Piezzo, Director, Brainerd Memorial Library.

Starting May 1, 2018 the Brainerd Memorial Library will offer a small seed swap library.   A selection of vegetables and plants will be available for free “check-out” to plant in your own garden.  Seeds are “returned” by harvesting them from your plants at the end of the season and bringing them in to the library for use by others.  Don’t worry if you haven’t any seeds to donate or swap – still feel free to participate.

Check the Library’s website for details starting May 1st.  Meanwhile, kids can join in our Little Sprouts program.  Plant a seed in our Children’s Room indoor mini-greenhouse. In the summer we will transplant them together into our library vegetable garden.
