Many Roads Blocked Due to Storm

From the Town of Haddam:

Town crews have been out all night clearing limbs and trees. Extra help has been called in. The roads cannot be cleared until the limbs and trees are cleared. Roads blocked by trees or wires:

  • Wanda
  • Scovil
  • Valley Ridge
  • Old Cart
  • November Trail
  • Injun Hollow
  • Hurd Park
  • Morris

  • Hidden Lake
  • Filled
  • Little City
  • Chamberlain Hill
  • Stage Coach
  • Upper Weiss
  • Lower Weiss
  • Maple
  • West
  • Plains

Emergency operation opened at the firehouse at 8 am. Town Hall is closed until noon.

Editor’s Note: According to the Eversource outage map, 77% of Haddam is without power.

    Thanks to the Haddam town crews for their work. Pete Santoro was chain sawing pine tree limbs in my driveway when I was plowing yesterday morning. And thanks to the Eversource crews from Conn. and Mass. who have been in our neighborhood for the past two days. Haddam, E. Haddam, and Killingworth certainly have been in the top three towns in the state for power outages.
