The Haddam Historical Society will host a cemetery tour on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Meet some of the interesting people who are buried in one of Haddam’s oldest cemeteries including the wife of a polygamist, the mother of a two-year old killed by the train and two young brothers who died during the Civil War. Local actors and students from the Haddam-Killingworth High School Drama Department will share these stories of hardship, sorrow, and determination with visitors.

The Shailerville/Tylerville Cemetery is located on the corner of Camp Bethel Road and Saybrook Road about 2/3 of a mile north of the Tylerville traffic light. Street parking. Admission is $5 per person (12 and under for free). Rain date is Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Light refreshments include our Spooktacular Halloween cookies.

In addition, Bruce Majors and David Costa will be offering large format, black and white, double exposure ghost photos. These artistic and spooky images are available for $10 per electronic jpg. For additional information visit www.haddamhistory.org.

The mission of the Haddam Historical Society is to preserve, collect, interpret and promote the history and heritage of Haddam for present and future generations.
