Boy Scout Troop #44 Spring 2017 Court of Honor

By Simon Brown.

Troop #44

In Haddam Boy Scout Troop #44, we had a Court of Honor May 23, 2017, and Andrew and I helped to run the occasion with our Leader Mark Pach and Assistant Leader Mike Parker. At our Court of Honor, we had seven rank promotions, which included 1 Tenderfoot advancement, three 2nd Class advancements, 2 Star advancements, and one advancements to Life Scout. In addition, five scouts crossed over from Cub Scouts to become part of the new “scouting” rank.

We also showed recognition of the completion of 47 merit badges that the Scouts had earned since the fall Court of Honor. These included: 3 for Citizenship in the World, 1 for Camping, 1 for Communication, 1 for Composite Materials, 1 for Citizenship in the Nation, 7 for Personal Management, 4 for Farm Mechanics, 6 for First Aid, 1 for Rifle Shooting, 10 for Family Life, 4 for Electricity, and 8 for Salesmanship.

Congratulations to my fellow scouts.

Scouting builds leaders. It is great to hear about the activities of the scouts. Congratulations to the boys and their families who support them.
