HVFCo: Vehicle Rollover

At 6:50 p.m. on April 25, 2017, Haddam Volunteer Fire Company, along with mutual aid from Middletown South Fire District Firefighters IAFF Local 3918, responded to a vehicle rollover on Route 9S between exits 9 and 10.

Upon arrival, firefighters from South Fire District determined all occupants were out of the vehicle. The driver was evaluated on scene by Hunter’s Ambulance, but refused additional medical treatment.

Crews closed Route 9S at Exit 9 and established a safe work zone.Haddam firefighters, and later the Department of Transportation, helped clean debris off the highway including nails, screws, razor blades and machinery that was ejected from the vehicle during the accident.

HVFC turned the scene over to the Connecticut State Police at 8:19 p.m.
