Volunteers Needed

By Elizabeth Malloy.

  • Interested in volunteering some time?
  • Interested in meeting new people or hanging out with old friends?
  • Interested in developing new talents or sharing existing expertise?
ThankfulArnold-OKThe Haddam Historical Society is looking for new members to serve on committees. You can commit all of your free time (just kidding) or sign up for one project. Whatever works best for you. Below is a list of committees looking for new members.
Events: This committee plans and executes social events and larger fundraising programs such as house tours, wine tastings, progressive dinners and more. In 2017 we are planning a kitchen tour which will include both historic and newly renovated kitchens in town. There will be demonstrations, tastings and more! Interested?
Programs: This committee plans the “educational” programs on local history and other related subjects. In 2016 we offered programs on Haddam Neck in Photos, a Shad Fishing panel discussion, six archaeological programs on the Arnold House dig, program on Haddam’s Quarries and Gems, John Cook talk and more.

Interested?

If you have suggestions for speakers or can give a talk yourself please contact Lisa Malloy at 860-345-2400.
Also would love volunteers for Development, Collections and Connecticut Spring Antiques Show.
