Haddam Meadows: Invasive Plant Cleanup 11/5/16

Haddam+Meadows+4Our second fall invasive plant cleanup will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 9:00 am-12:00 noon at Haddam Meadows State Park. The rain date is Saturday, November 19, 2016. We will remove oriental bittersweet and other invasives and pick up litter. Adults and youth, under 16 years of age accompanied by an adult, are invited to participate. Meet at the boat launch. Please dress for the weather, wear waterproof boots, bring garden loppers or saw, sunscreen, bug repellant, first aid supplies, and water. Snacks will be provided . Do not bring pets. Volunteers with Haddam dump trucks and stickers are needed. The event is being planned by CT DEEP Adopt- a -Park volunteers, Cherry Czuba and Mary Lou Heger.
