William Bowe, 66, of Haddam Connecticut, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital.

He was born on October 10, 1949 in New London, Connecticut the only son of the late Albert H and Alma (Bartolucci) Bowe. He grew up in Niantic, Connecticut, spent several years in Greenport, New York and returned to Plainville and New Britain, where he attended E.C. Goodwin Technical school.   Bill worked as a machinist at Creed Monarch Inc. in New Britain, CT his entire career.  He loved his job and the people who worked with him.  He was an avid boater and loved spending his summers on the Sandpiper crabbing, fishing and napping in the sun. Most of all Bill loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Billy is survived by his three devoted children, William J Bowe Jr., Catherine Bowe and David Bowe and his beloved grandson, Jayden Bowe and granddaughter, Lillian Grace Bowe. Besides his children and grandchildren, he is survived by three sisters, Maureen Pilewski and husband Tom Pilewski, Katherine Bowe and partner Franco Marcantonio and Eileen Hope.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Taylor Pilewski, Shana Pilewski, Jason Hope, Christopher Hope, Steven Hope, Michael White and Jason White.   Billy was loved by many friends, who shared wonderful years with him and his family. He will be greatly missed by all.

Billy’s family would like to thank the staff of the Weiss Hospice Unit at Middlesex Hospital for all the care, compassion and love they showed to Billy and his family.

Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 3 to 6 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday (Aug. 1st) with a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Joseph Church, Chester. Burial will be in Tylerville Cemetery, Haddam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer – American Cancer Society.
