HVFCo: Car Fire 7/23/16

HVFCo car fire 7-16Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a vehicle fire at 2:20 p.m. July 23, 2016 at the Mobile Gas Station in Tylerville. The driver of the vehicle, who was off-roading nearby, broke her brake line and drove to the Mobile Station after noticing flames coming from the hood. The passenger in the vehicle obtained a fire extinguisher from Mobil and self-extinguished the flame. Firefighters saturated the smoldering engine compartment with water. The cause of the fire is likely brake fluid.
