Killingworth Trooper: Killingworth Fire Dept Burglarized

KILLINGWORTH, CT (December 30, 2015) – State Police are seeking information about a burglary that occurred at the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Department.

On Monday, December 28, 2015 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Troopers from Troop F – Westbrook and the Killingworth Resident Trooper’s Office were dispatched to the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Department – Station 2 located at 15 Little City Road in Killingworth for a reported burglary.

Upon arriving at the station, Troopers found that the unknown suspect(s) had forced entry into the fire station and that over $15,000 worth of electronic equipment and other valuable lifesaving equipment had been stolen. Troopers secured the scene, conducted a search of the area and initiated a criminal investigation. The scene was processed and evidence was collected.

The burglary is believed to have occurred sometime between the late evening hours of 12/27/15 and the early morning hours of 12/28/15.
