Trooper Report: 08/26/15

August 26, 2015: Jeffrey Centola, 20, of Brookline Avenue, Higganum, was arrested last night after he refused to stop for a motor vehicle violation at the intersection of Saybrook Road and Candlewood Hill Road. According to Haddam Resident Trooper Enrico Milardo, Centola was driving a 1997 Saab but was able to elude, as he continued driving at a very high rate of speed. Upon further investigation, Centola was identified as being the driver of the Saab and was eventually taken into custody a short time later outside his residence. Centola had just finished changing all four wheels on his Saab, for different style ones in attempt to alter the vehicle’s identity. He also hid the vehicle’s marker plate in his backyard. He was charged with: Operating an unregistered motor vehicle, Misuse of marker plate, Operating motor vehicle without insurance, Operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, Reckless driving, Disobeying an officer’s signal, and Engaging in in pursuit. Centola was released on a $2500 cash bond and is scheduled to appear at Middlesex Superior Court on September 4, 2015.

No, you still would have been arrested. It’s not like in the movies.
