To the Haddam-Killingworth School Community,

I am writing to inform you that I will be retiring from the position of Principal at Haddam-Killingworth Middle School on January 5, 2015.  Many have joked that my impending retirement is the worst kept secret in the district. Therefore, I hope this notice is not a surprise. I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment working in this district from the time I was hired in July, 1994 as the Assistant Principal of Haddam-Killingworth High School.  With my move to the middle school as Principal in July of 1998, I truly found my niche.   Working alongside gifted and talented staff, we created a safe and vibrant learning environment for young adolescents. I am immensely proud of what we have all accomplished working together over the past two decades and believe the time is right for me to say good-bye. It has been an honor to work with this very special community and I will dearly miss my students, their families and my staff.    Please know that I will work hard to make sure that the transition to a new administration is smooth and will be on call throughout the spring of this academic year to support that process.

With great fondness,
*Mim Wagner *
