Score: H-K 91 Holy Cross 69

Key Stats: 23 top 3 finishes. First place finishes in every event except 200 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, and 100 Breaststroke: 200 Medley Relay (Caitlyn VonFeldt, Jordan Clemente, Jillian Clemente, Tess Grimaldi), 200IM (Caitlyn VonFeldt), 50 Free (Tess Grimaldi), 100 Fly (Jillian Clemente), 500 Free (Cassie Garrelts), 200 Free Relay (Cassie Garrelts, Jordan Clemente, Marina Parlapiano, Tess Grimaldi), 100 Back (Caitlyn VonFeldt), 100 Breast (Jordan Clemente), and 400 Free Relay (Cassie Garrelts, Jillian Clemente, Lindsay Nord, Marina Parlapiano).

Game Recap: Strong performances across the board, put HK ahead from the get go.  The closest races of the night came on the 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays.  HK and Holy Cross were neck and neck after the breaststroke in the Medley, when Jillian Clemente and Tess Grimaldi put some distance, allowing HK to win by 4 seconds.  The 200 Free Relay was close right to end, with Tess Grimaldi out reaching Brittany Steinfeld at the wall.  HK earned their last points of the meet during the 100 Backstroke, as they swam exhibition for the 100 Breast and 400 Free Relay.

Surprising Performances: Season best times for: Nora Homicki (100Back), Tess Grimaldi (100 Free), Cassie Garrelts (500 Free), Jillian Clemente (100Fly), Clara Roby (200 Free).

Coach’s Comments:  Cassie Garrelts rebounded from a tough 200 Freestyle to put forth her best 500 Freestyle time of the season, and stepped up for a hurting teammate, turning a best 100 leg of the season.  The meet was capped off with a 1-2-3 finish in the 100 Butterfly (Jillian Clemente, Jordan Clemente, Erin Avery) and a 1-2-3 sweep in the 400 Freestyle Relay to close the meet.

Next Meet: 10/03/14 at Mercy (Wesleyan University)

Record: 5-1
